 Technical Information

** To view the presentations in your browser, click the "Here" link. You will need the QuickTime viewer to view videos in the "Hope Never Leaves" presentation. Please click on the screen to add content to each slide. When there is no response, click on the lower arrows to advance the slide. When they exist, use hyperlinks (colored, underlined text or arrows next to text) to move to new sections, and use the bullets in the lower right corner to move back.
** To download the PowerPoint files, right-click the link and select "save target as", which will then allow you to choose a download location on your computer. Make a note of this location so that you can find the presentation file after the download completes. This method works with Internet Explorer and Mozilla browsers. To add videos to the "Hope Never Leaves" presentation: Download the PowerPoint file and each video file. Place the PowerPoint file in a folder of your choice. Create a new folder, named "Video" (no quotes) in the folder you just created. Add each video to the "Video" folder. The videos each require about 1 minute to open with a broadband (fairly fast) connection. Start the PowerPoint presentation. You will need the QuickTime viewer to view the videos. The source CD, "A Practical Guide to Communication Skills in Clinical Practice", can be purchased from Medical Audio-Visual Communications.
** To navigate a downloaded PowerPoint presentation: When they exist, use hyperlinks (colored, underlined text or arrows next to text) to move to new sections, and use the bullets in the lower right corner to move back.
** Viewing PDF Files require the Acrobat Reader, a free download from Adobe available here.
** Viewing PowerPoint presentations requires PowerPoint 2000 (version9.0) or higher. Please feel free to edit these files to suit your needs. You can also download the PowerPoint Viewer to see, but not edit, these presentations without using PowerPoint.
