Jason Program Newsletter
April, 2005

We exist simply because children have touched our hearts.
We believe they should be listened to and cared for.

To the Jason Program Community --
We are pleased to be observing our 5th birthday this month, and wish to invite you to celebrate with us . The Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth with host our "Celebration by the Sea" on the evening of Saturday, April 30. There will be great food, a gift certificate for dinner at the Inn, and an auction hosted by WGME's  Kim Block and Amy Sinclair. You can view more information on our site, and read our flyer. We thank the In by the Sea, Mike Caron and Lamtec, Inc., Blacksmith's winery, and Harmon Barton's for their generous support.
We also wish to thank all those who have helped us care for the children and their families over the past 5 years. We have enjoyed wonderful relationships with our local medical community - physicians, nurses, home health agencies, and many allied professionals. We have been enriched by interaction with consultants throughout the nation, helping us with medical care and program growth. We deeply appreciate the help of countless others, donating their time and money to support our program and children and their families in their communities. Without the efforts of all these people, we could not be helping these children today.

New additions to our site include a tribute to Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, who passed on last August ("shed her earthly cocoon to become a beautiful butterfly", as is noted on her website). She once said, "I have never met a person whose greatest need was anything other than real, unconditional love. You can find it in a simple act of kindness toward someone who needs help. There is no mistaking love. You feel it in your heart. It is the common fiber of life, the flame that heals our soul, energizes our spirit and supplies passion to our lives. It is our connection to God and to each other". She was an indescribably wonderful individual, and we were enormously blessed to have had her in our lives.
Other additions can be found by following our News page, the Jason Program News page, and the Archives page for things you might have missed.

As always, on behalf of the children, we thank you for your interest and caring.
