Jason Program Newsletter, April 27, 2002

We exist simply because children have touched our hearts.
We believe they should be listened to and cared for.

To the Jason Program Community --

We are pleased to bring you finalized plans for our June Conference. Entitled, "New England Conference on Pediatric Hospice - Pediatric Hospice: The Time Has Come", this year's session is presented in alliance with the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Their help has contributed greatly in many ways, supporting three nationally recognized experts in the field of pediatric palliative care. Dr. Bruce Himelstein will present the keynote speech, "Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Care", Dr. Suzanne Toce will offer a plenary on "Neonatal Pain Control" and a session on "Ethical and Legal Issues in High Risk Newborns", and Ms. Gerry Haynes will offer a plenary on "Decision Making in Pediatric Palliative Care: Responding to Dilemmas, Planning for Care – not Crisis". In addition, the concurrent sessions offer a breath of information useful to all those interested in the field of pediatric hospice care. You can find all the necessary information regarding this conference on our New England Conference page. For registration and contact information:
