Our Mission -
"Giving Life to Children's Days"
The Jason Program is a non-profit, community- based pediatric
palliative care program with a dual mission:
We
organize and deliver patient, family, and community centered
medical, nursing, emotional, and spiritual support services to Maine
children with life-threatening conditions. We also care for children
and adolescents whose medical condition may not be life-limiting but
does cause significant pain and discomfort, significantly reducing
their quality of life.
We promote a community-based model of patient
and family focused, interdisciplinary, coordinated care through education
and training that can be adapted to individual communities and implemented
in other regions nationwide.

and a list of our philosophy and services

Caring for the critically ill child requires more than just medicine,
tests, or treatments. Healing requires not only good medicine, but often
conversation, prayer, physical rehabilitation, and community support. The
Jason Program supports the community in delivering this comprehensive care
to Maine's critically ill children and their families. We are dedicated to
strengthening existing programs and establishing new services without
duplicating resources.
